Breakfast And Local Eating Places

We love food at Ivy House and aim to use local or organic produce where possible.

Breakfasts are a relaxed affair,we offer two options the first by request at 6.am for the business guests requiring a quick departure check out and our 8.30 for our on vaccation guests who prefer the more unhurried and chilled approach available till 10.am if you want a lie in and able to resist the smells of freshly brewed coffee and just baked muffins wafting up the stairs.

Start your day with a selection of Complimentary Newspapers whilst quenching your thirst with some local apple juice or freshly squeezed orange juice and a bowl of our Ivy House Granola with natural yoghurt and homemade cinnamon spiced fruit compote.

Then tuck into a full cooked Cheshire breakfast including home cure bacon and locally made sausage from one of our many famous butchers and our own free range eggs cooked as you like them.

If you prefer something lighter then try our freshly baked muffins or ginger scones.What about scrambled eggs and smoked salmon or a bowl of organic porridge topped with brown sugar ?.

We are very lucky at Ivy House to live in a beautifull part of the country - just a dog ball`s throw from the CHESHIRE PLAINS AREA of Outstanding Natural Beauty.We are keen to do what we can to preserve the beauty by doing what we can to minimise our impact on the environment whilst maintaining HIGH LEVELS OF LUXURY AND COMFORT FOUR OUR VALUED GUESTS.

We have joined the Green Tourism Business Scheme and The Cheshire Hills Be Sustainable Buy Local Scheme.Both Schemes require us to demonstrate,in a number of ways,how we are being sustainable.

Some things come easily to us,like not grooming the gardens to much giving our grounds a more natural look for wildlife and the environment,feeding the birds,our English Country Garden is filled with wild flowers and is laid out in the old style.We are lucky to be able to source the most FANTASTIC LOCAL FOOD.

Others have been more challenging - like finding a environmental solution to washing laundry that still produces white sheets and recycled toilet paper that is soft enough four our guests.But wer`e getting there ! See our Environmental Policy Above For More Details.
